Lesson 1

Lancashire hot pot: Lamb slow cooked with carrots, onions and a little Worcestershire sauce in a gravy. Topped with thinly sliced potatoes and baked in the oven. 

Chicken, Rosemary and Tomato Stew: A very Mediterranean flavour. Braised chicken thighs stewed with rosemary, black olives and tomatoes. 

Lesson 2

Spicy chicken and bean stew: Chicken breasts braised with yellow peppers and a hint of chilli, then cooked slowly in stock with red kidney beans and butter beans, garnished with coriander

Chicken, Chorizo and rice one pot stew: A one-pot chicken casserole for sharing, flavoured with Chorizo, the Spanish sausage and slow-cooked with rice - an alternative to Paella

Lesson 3

Slow cooked braised beef and vegetable stew: A traditional braised beef stew with thick, rich gravy - an ideal recipe for cheap cut of beef as slow-cooking guarantees a tender dish.

Beef and Ale Stew with dumplings: A real comforting meal.  Sweet, slow-cooked melty carrots and beautifully tender beef cooked in beer. This dish is comfort in a pot and enjoyed with dumplings on top.

Lesson 4

Sausage and lentil slow roast: A one-pot hearty stew combining sausages, bacon, tomatoes, rosemary and slowly cooked with lentils to create a low maintenance filling meal for all the family. 

Coconut butternut stew: A delicious Asian infused meal that combines the flavours of butternut in coconut milk, lemongrass, a hint of chilli, red pepper and coriander. Perfect for a night off meat!

Lesson 5

Slow cooked pork and aubergine casserole: This is a gorgeous slow cooked dish with aubergines and pork. The aubergines become deliciously soft and absorb Asian flavours including star anise, ginger and coriander. 

Thai pork and peanut curry: Gorgeous red Thai curry flavoured pork dish stewed in coconut milk and a little peanut butter to enrich the flavour. Perfect with rice and a mixed salad.
